Most people give themselves at least six months to move. That’s enough time to sort out all the packing, deal with the finances, and prepare any documentation. 

 

But sometimes, you only have a month to move, and it can feel impossible.

You don’t have to prepare for your house move all by yourself. There are plenty of people who will gladly help you, should the time come. 

 

Ask friends and family to give you a hand with boxes and crates. Extra pairs of hands make the process much easier and get everything done in less than half the time. 

 

It’s also great if your moving company insists on finishing by a certain time. If you arrive at your new property at 2 pm, you can have everything off the truck by 6 pm. It’s so much easier when you have six to eight people compared to just one or two.
